I thought I would take a moment this January to thank YOU!
Thank you to all my lovely customers that have supported my small, local business throughout this Covid pandemic. I have been really lucky to have been able to continue working, super lucky to have a purpose built workshop attached to my home and proud to have support around me. From daily deliveries, making up bouquets, ordering flowers, my florist support buddies have been a godsend. I won’t lie, it has been hard to wear many hats. Florist, home schooler, business owner, wife, mother, daughter, sister. We all wear many hats and 2020 has taught us to cherish those around us and importantly to enjoy what we do.
The run up to Christmas 2020 saw Re:Creation’s busiest wreath making with over 15 different sessions and over 90 people attending workshops. We will be sure to run the wreath workshops in 2021! We also put up over 15 Christmas trees from Southend to Stratford, in residential and business premises. Once these are down, we offer a planted arrangement for receptions or a vase of artificial flowers that can be refreshed seasonally. Not tied in contract, just as and when is needed.
Over the last year we have forged strong relationships with local funeral directors, often being recommended to celebrate a loved ones last farewell. With less people allowed to attend services and a general move towards donations to charities just a few perfect floral pieces are the mainstay. Our gallery of work is all our very own and we take great pride in taking on some bespoke designs. The trend for wicker and willow caskets has created a need for dressing of caskets, something we take great pride in doing onsite. We cater for all budgets and can offer a wealth of advice if you are unsure on what design to pick.
Soon after the first lockdown was almost finished, fresh flowers were the best pick me up that lots of people could think of. We delivered a record amount of bunches through the summer, this kept us busy when we would normally be making delivering and setting up weddings all over the county. Handtied bouquets from £30 delivered to all SS postcodes, with seasonal novel designs appear on our social media instagram and facebook pages and you can order flowers online.
Weddings have mostly be postponed til the later part of 2021 and we are working closely with our brides to fulfill their floral requirements. The intimate ‘micro’ weddings – as we like to call them, were great celebrations. Reduced numbers made different days for our Bride and grooms but with closest loved ones around them, non the less special. We wish them all the best for 2021 and beyond.
